Recipe Name:Au Gratin Potatoes

Ingredients:2lbs potatoes, peeled
3T flour
1 tsp salt
2 scallions, sliced
4oz gruyere cheese, shredded (approx 1 1/2C)
2C half-half
pinch ground nutmeg
2T grated parmesan or asiago cheese
Directions:Heat oven to 375. Coat 1 1/2qt oval baking pan with non-stick.
Slice potatoes thin using mandolin (1/8 in thickness).
Sprinkle flour and salt over potato slices and toss to coat.
Begin layering: 1/3 potato slices then sprinkle with half scallions, 1/3 cheese. Repeat with more potato, remaining scallions and 1/3 cheese. Top with remaining potato slices.
In small sauce pan comine half-half and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer and pour over potatoes. Coer with foil and bake 30min. Remove foil and sprinkle with remaing cheese and parmesean. Return to oven and bake uncovered 25min or until lightly browned. Let stand 15min before serving.
