Apple Topping

Ingredients:
1/4 c sliced almonds
1 T butter or margarine
2 large McIntosh apples peeled, cored and cut into 1/4 in slices
2T packed light rown sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch each nutmeg and cloves
1/4 cup apple juice
Directions:
Toast almonds in a nonstick med skillet over med heat, stirring occaisonally, until golden. Remove to a small bowl.
Heat butter in same skillet. Add remaining ingredients and cook over med heat, stirring often, 3-4 min until apples are tender. Stir in apple juice and bring to a boil.
Rmove skillet form heat an dlet cool slightly. Just before serving, stir in toasted almonds.
