Ingredients:
2 C ground Masa flour (Masa harina)
1C warm water
2T lime juice
pinch of salt
Directions:
Place ingredients in a medium size bowl. Knead ingredients with hands until pliable but not sticky. (If dough is too crumbly, add a bit of water 1T at a time. If, too sticky, add more masa.) Dough should resemble soft modeling clay.
Separate dough into 12 three Tablespoon balls. Place on foil tray and cover with damp towel to keep moist.
Cut two 8in circles out of plastic storage bags (these are liners). Press dough between two heavy plates (lined with plasltic). LIft and rotate tortilla 180 degrees and press again for a 5in round about 1/8im thick.
Peel off plastic and drop tortilla onto a hot griddle for 1-2 min per side.
Place cooked tortilla in basket lined with towel and keep wrapped until all balls are cooked.
